Gilroy Garlic Festival

The 29th Annual Gilroy Garlic Festival was our adventure for the day.
It was hot. It was smelly. It was garlicky.

To beat the heat, Jantzen was able to find a nice place in the shade where he could kick up his feet and have some nice cold water from his sippy cup. (Meanwhile Dad was looking for a place that had beer in sippy cups for him.)

Instead of coming back with beer, Rick came back with a BIG plate of Crawfish. They were extra garlicky and good. I forgot to take a before picture, but here's the after. They didn't stand a chance.

Jantzen enjoyed watching his dad eat mudbugs.

Then it was time to go.

Back at the car, gearing up for our 1.5 hour drive home... Jantzen wanted a quick snack before the roadtrip. He has a new love for garlic. (Remember, he'll eat anything!)

Mmmmmm! Garlic!

What a day!

Cookie Monster

Mmmm! Jantzen loves cookies. I think I should probably point out that we have yet to find anything that Jantzen doesn't like to eat. But, he really likes cookies.

What a mess!

oh, and one more thing worth mentioning... notice how his hair looks damp? It's because he works so hard at eating that he often breaks a sweat. Simple bottle - sweat head. A full meal - definitely sweating. A little cookie - workin up a sweat again. (I've been told this is a da Silva trait.)

Melon head

My dad says I have a melon head... what do you think??

Eat a Peach

I have learned how to upload our videos this week. Sorry for the video dump, but here's another one. This was from last week when Jantzen had his first peach. The kid just couldn't get enough. He now has fresh peaches for dessert every night.

And when he's old enough, I'm sure he'll LOVE Nanny's Peach Cobbler that she made for Nicole & Blair... and not us.

Mmmmm, Feet!

Nothing cuter than a baby fresh out of the bathtub.

Jantzen's first 4th of July

Jantzen kicked off his 4th of July celebration by sleeping-in until 8:00. That's 13 hours straight people. It's like he knew we didn't have to go to work today and we should all enjoy a couple extra hours. I love this kid.
Once I finally went down to check on him (you know, to make sure he was still breathing) I found him in the opposite corner from where he started, between a Teddy Bear and Lemonade. So cute. And how did I thank him for sleeping in?? I took a picture of him and the flash woke him up. Oops.

Then he got all dressed up for a BBQ in Marin. He was going to see his girlfriend MacLean Marsten. He had to look his patriotic best.

MacLean was nice enough to share her cookies with Jantzen. This is his first cookie. Notice how he is keeping an eye on MacLean... making sure she doesn't try to make a move on his new cookie!

Here he is making his move on the hot blonde in a bikini.

Family day at the 'Click

Jantzen has enjoyed going on client calls with me in the past. Today he got to enjoy a day in the office playing with the Boyd kids, Thomas and Grace.

Boy, it's sure is exhausting to play, I mean work, all day long.

NYC

I know this is supposed to be a site about Jantzen... but Rick and I went on our first weekend trip without Jantzen. We went to NYC for our dear friends', Michael and Kathryn Rafferty's wedding. It was such a treat to have a weekend away. (Janzten spent the weekend with my parents - Gigi and Poppy, which was a treat for them too.)

Here are some pictures from our adventures.

The bride & groom:

This may look tame, but it really is a motley crew.

After the reception, we headed to a nightclub. This is Rick's dancing face:

We really had a fantastic time.

Update

Eek! It is has almost been a month since I have updated the site. My apologies.

This is a picture of Jantzen and his favorite person, his Nanny, Claudia and her sweet little 3 year old son Danny. Jantzen loves it when Danny comes over to play with him.

In the past month, Jantzen has really gotten into eating. He loves carrots and bananas.
