1st trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We took Jantzen to a little local family owned farm in Palo Alto to search for his first pumpkin. He has fun everywhere he goes, but he especially liked the Pumpkin Patch. I'm not sure what he enjoyed more... playing with the pumpkins or trying to eat dirt.

During our morning Cherrio hour, Jantzen decided he would pose for some pictures and show off his fangs. No middle top teeth - just bottom teeth and top fangs. It has been suggested Jantzen go as a vampire for Halloween... but he just seems too sweet for that.

We had so much fun this morning playing dress up with Jantzen. I bought his Halloween costume online and it came in this week. We absolutely love it.

He slept in until 9:15 this morning and to reward him, we dressed him up for our amusement. He's clearly not as entertained as we are. Right here he is thinking, "Really, Dad, you can't be serious."


"Maybe if I head over to Mom, she'll save me."

"Nothing to do now, but just live with it and play. Check out my tail... pretty cute, right?"

We can't wait for Halloween! Bring on the Trick or Treaters... we're gonna have the cutest kid on the block!

Why even bother?

Jantzen has toys, toys and more toys. (And yes, he is only 9 months old.) As first time parents, Rick & I are starting to figure out we don't need to keep buying toys. All we need to do is give him old cell phones, remote controls, calculators and garage door openers and he's a happy kid. And we'll save a ton of money too!!

Jantzen helped celebrate MacLean's 1st birthday this weekend. He was lovin every minute of it.

MacLean wouldn't even wear a party hat - but Jantzen was rockin it all day long! It doesn't look like he was too happy about it. But he wore it well.
